IV sedation is an excellent method to help patients navigate their surgical experience with the least possible amount of discomfort and anxiety. Sedation is administered only in concurrence with surgical procedures, following evaluation and approval by the surgeon to ensure the patient is a suitable candidate for IV sedation. If approved, the patient MUST refrain from consuming any food or water for 8 hours prior to the procedure to ensure safety. This will be discussed in detail during the consultation visit and reinforced with visit reminders.
